Cara Membuat ODBC Driver menggunakan MySQL ODBC Driver versi 5.3.9

ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) adalah sebuah standar terbuka untuk konektivitas antar mesin basis data. Standar ini menyediakan API (Application Programming Interface) yang dapat digunakan untuk menjalankan dan mengoneksikan sebuah aplikasi dengan sebuah sistem manajemen basis data (DBMS). Para desainer ODBC membuatnya dengan tujuan agar ODBC terbebas dari penggunaan bahasa pemrograman tertentu, sistem manajemen basis data tertentu, dan sistem operasi tertentu.
MySQL ODBC 5.3.9 Driver merupakan software penghubung untuk koneksi database yang kita buat baik menggunakan Navicat, MySQL Front atau PHPMyAdmin.

Untuk selanjutnya cara membuat data source ODBC menggunakan MySQL ODBC Driver versi 5.3.9.

• Masuk ke dalam  Jendela Control Panel (Start - Control Panel)
• Pilih Administrative Tools
• Pilih Data Source (ODBC)
• Tampil Jendela ODBC Data Source Administrator, Pilih Add
• Pada Jendela Create New Data Source, Pilih MySQL ODBC 5.3w Driver

• Klik tombol Finish
• Maka akan tampil jendela form konfigurasi seperti di bawah ini

• Pada Bingkai Connection Parameters isi dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut :

1. Data Source Name, merupakan Nama Data Source yang akan digunakan dalam koneksi dengan Basis Data.
2. Description, untuk mendeskripsikan koneksi Basisdata yang anda buat. Text ini boleh dikosongkan
3. Server, jika hanya untuk local computer gunakan localhost atau isi dengan IP 127.0.0.1. Jika untuk koneksi ke server atau client gunakan IP Address Komputer server tujuan.
4. User adalah nama user/pengguna, untuk default dari database MySQL isi dengan  root
5. Password diisi sesuai dengan password user
6. Database merupakan database yang akan digunakan dalam koneksi. Pilih sesuai dengan database yang akan dituju
7. Untuk mencoba koneksi database, klik tombol Test
8. Jika selesai, klik tombol OK

Cara penginstallan komponen untuk komunikasi data mySQL menggunakan Zeos 7.1.2 ke Bahasa Pemrograman Delphi

Delphi menyediakan berbagai macam koneksi DataBase mulai dari BDE (Borland Database Engine), dbExpress, ADO (ActiveX Data Object), Interbase dan lain-lain.  Koneksi menggunakan BDE sebenarnya sudah lebih dari cukup, BDE bisa mengakses hampir semua type database. dbExpress bisa digunakan untuk database mySQL, Interbase dan lain-lain.  ADO bisa digunakan untuk mengakses database Microsoft Access, mySQL atau database yang bisa diakses melalui ODBC (Open Data Base Connection) Windows. Sedangkan Interbase biasa digunakan untuk mengakses database Interbase dan generasi penerusnya seperti Firebird.
Agar lebih praktis dalam menggunakan pengaturan komunikasi ke database yang dinamis maka diperlukan komponen Zeos untuk bahasa pemrograman Delphi. Zeos adalah komponen alternatif pengganti koneksi ADO (ActiveX Data Object) yang dapat dengan mudah digunakan untuk mengakses database mySQL, PostGre, Interbase/Firebird. Contoh untuk penginstallan pada Pengguna Delphi 7 

• Sebelum menginstal komponen Zeos, copykan file libmysql.dll yang dapat anda temukan pada folder mySQL \XAMPP\mysql\lib  ke folder penginstalan delphi  di :\Program Files\Borland\Delphi7\Bin dan :\Program Files (x86)\Borland\Delphi7\Lib.

Langkah-langkah pemasangan :

1. Buka Program Delphi kemudian pada menu File pilih Close All, 

2. setelah semua form telah tertutup Klik menu File pilih Open Project, kemudian arahkan ke direktori tempat anda mengextract folder Zeos.

3. Setelah anda berada pada folder extract zeos, buka folder tersebut pada direktori Package-Delphi7-Pilih ZeosDBO. 

4. Sehingga akan terbuka Project Manager Pada gambar berikut. 

5. Pada Zcore70.bpl Klik kanan pilih CompileAll From Here- lalu Pilih Build All From Here.

6. Setelah dilakukan kompilasi dan Build, Pada ZcomponentDesign70.bpl (yang bercetak tebal) klik kananinstall.

7. Setelah instalasi sukses pilih File-Close All.

8. Masih pada Delphi- Pilih Tool-Environtment Option – Library – Library Path

9. Browse Package Extractkan Zeos Pada Direktori C:/Program File/Borland/Zeos/Package/Delphi7 

10. Select Folder Delphi 7 lalu OK. Lalu Add

11. Browse kembali Pada Package Extractkan Zeos Pada Direktori C:/Program File/Borland/Zeos/Package/Delphi7/build

12.  Select Folder Build Lalu OK. Lalu Add Sehingga nantinya pada Librarry Directories terdapat 2 path baru seperti pada gambar.

13. Instalasi Selesai Cek Tab Komponen Terakhir Delphi, Zeos Sudah Berhasil di Instal.

Selamat Anda telah berhasil menginstall Zeos pada Delphi.

Cara penginstallan komponen ComPort 4.11 ke Bahasa Pemrograman Delphi

    Program interface dengan komputer bisa dilakukan dengan banyak cara salah satunya secara serial. Transfer data secara serial berarti data dikirim dari perangkat dari luar misalnya mikrokontroller ke komputer secara serial dengan standard yang telah ditentukan. Data dikirim per 8 bit dengan bit star dan bit stop bisa juga ditambahkan parity. 
    Pembuatan program interface untuk komunikasi serial dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Delphi 7 sebagai GUI (Graphic User Interface) nya. Delphi tidak mempunyai package serial sehingga package untuk komunikasi serial perlu di-install terlebih dahulu. Langkah-langkah Pemasangan Komponen Comport pada Delphi 7

• Sebelum menginstall komponen ComPort 4.11 ke pemrograman Delphi, pastikan folder tempat komponen di Simpan pada direktori.

Untuk OS Windows yang menggunakan sistem 32 Bit

C:\Program Files \Borland\Delphi7\Demos\PackageSerialDelphi

Untuk OS Windows yang menggunakan sistem 64 Bit

C:\Program Files (x86)\Borland\Delphi7\Demos\PackageSerialDelphi
 

• Pada menu Delphi pilih menu Tools, kemudian pilih bagian Environment Options..

• Setelah masuk pada form Environment Options, pilih tab Library, kemudian klik tombol ... pada bagian Library path.

• Pada form directories pilih tombol ... pada bagian Greyed items denote invalid path

• Tambahkan folder PackageSerialDelphi pada direktori penyimpanan ke library, kemudian klik tombol OK

• Selanjutnya pada form directories, klik tombol Add untuk menambahkan komponen ComPort ke dalam library Delphi

• Pada folder penyimpanan komponen PackageSerialDelphi pilih file CPortLib7.dpk

• Compile Package CPortLib (CPortLib7.dpk) dari direktori "packages”.

• Install Package CPortLib (CPortLib7.dpk) dari direktori "packages”.

• Pada folder penyimpanan komponen PackageSerialDelphi pilih file DsgnCPort7.dpk

• Compile Package DsgnCPort (DsgnCPort7.dpk) dari direktori "packages”.

• Install Package DsgnCPort (DsgnCPort7.dpk) dari direktori "packages”.

• Setelah komponen terinstal, maka akan tampil antarmuka untuk Komponen CPortLib.
